Georgia Department of Human Resources (DHR)
DHR is a human service agency whose mission is to strengthen Georgia families by providing services through 80 programs. These programs help to ensure the health and welfare of Georgia families. DHR touches lives of all Georgians. Their goal is to be a resource to Georgia families, and to help them become self-sustaining.
Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH)
DCH provides health care benefits to over two million citizens under various Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids™ programs such as the State Office of Rural Health, Georgia Volunteer HealthCare Office of Health Improvement, and the State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP) for state employees, teachers, retirees and their dependents. It develops health policy, approves the development and expansion of health care services and facilities through the Certificate of Need program, and provides access to other resources for affordable and quality health care (including Georgia Families, Georgia Enhanced Care, and Georgia Health Partnership).

The Georgia Association of Health Plans (GAHP) is a non-profit organization whose members help empower Georgians to access affordable, quality health care services.
National Association of Insurance Commissioners
The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) is the organization of state insurance regulators for all 50 of the United States, Washington DC, and five US territories.
Georgia Department of Insurance and Fire Safety (OCI)
The OCI helps consumers, providers, agents who have insurance questions. It can also help you if you have an Insurance complaint. OCI will help you with questions about your home, car or life insurance.
The State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP), a division of the Georgia Department of Community Health, provides health insurance coverage to state employees, school system employees, retirees and their dependents. As of September 1, 2009, the SHBP provided health coverage for 693,716 members and dependents. SHBP currently offers four Plan options for its active members and their dependents, including: 1) Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), 2) High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), 3) Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) and 4) Preferred Provider Organization (PPO). In addition, retirees enrolled in Medicare may choose to enroll in a Medicare Advantage option with prescription drug overage. For more information, visit the dch.georgia.gov.
PeachCare for Kids™ is a comprehensive health care program for uninsured children living in Georgia through a partnership between the Georgia Department of Community Health , Georgia Families and three health care plans, also known as private care management organizations (CMOs). The plans are Amerigroup Community Care, Peach State Health Plan and WellCare. The health benefits include primary, preventive, specialist, dental care and vision care. PeachCare for Kids™ also covers hospitalization, emergency room services, prescription medications and mental health care. Each child in the program has a Georgia Families CMO who is responsible for coordinating the child's care. For more information, visit dch.georgia.gov.
