Georgia is one of many states and territories involved in an effort to raise consumer awareness about the value and benefit of the exchanging and accessing of electronic health information. We want to ensure that consumers understand the security and privacy safeguards that exist in the electronic environment. The ultimate outcome is the promotion of a healthier Georgia by advancing the electronic transfer of consumer health information.
Consumer Education and Engagement
Georgia conducts seminars and workshops on security and privacy. These sessions are designed to promote awareness and trust in the security and privacy of electronic health information.

The resource center is a central repository on electronic health information for consumers and providers. It contains links to numerous publications and other media/tools on security and privacy.
