Hospital Type General: A general/acute care hospital in which patients of all ages, with many different types of illnesses are given care. General hospitals provide a full range of licensed hospital services including emergency room. Rehabilitation: A hospital devoted to the rehabilitation of patients with various neruologic, musculoskeletal, orthopedic and other medical conditions. Children’s Hospital: A hospital where the majority of its inpatients are individuals under the age of 18.	Service A list of medical specialty services provided by this facility.	Medical Condition A predefined list of diseases or conditions that are treated in an inpatient setting. MDCs are matched with the appropriate clinical service.	Procedure A classification of hospitalization types based on the patient´s medical condition, procedures performed (if any), and, in some cases, the age and/or sex of the patient.
